Yoga Live

Yoga is an ancient eastern exercise and fitness routine that’s been used for thousands of years. However many people feel yoga isn’t a “young persons” exercise. Russell is most well known for bring rap and hip hop music out of the fringe and into mainstream culture. What you may not know is Russell has also been practicing yoga for over 10 years. With Yoga Live he’s looking to do the same for Yoga. Russell has produced a four series exercise video suite with three different fitness instructors, Sara Ivanhoe, Elana Brower, and Jeffery Cohen are each trained exercise instructors with successful Yoga practices, who guide you through the series of exercise videos. What makes this series of yoga videos different from those that came before it is the music, and energy. A lot of effort has gone into updating these moves and choreographing the high energy pop and dance music to make it more fun and exciting. Ibuprofin Cuts Risk of Colon Cancer

A recent study has shown that women who take ibuprofin regularly can lower the risk of colon cancer buy as much as 50%. The study was conducted on 20 years worht of data on 80,000 female patients.

South Beach Diet

Cardiologist Dr Arthur Agatston developed the South Beat Diet to help his patients lose weight. When his diet plan was compared sided by side with the AHA recommended diet of the time his patients had significantly lower cholesterol, triglycerides and lost almost twice as much weight during the same time period.

While this diet became popular about the same time as other low carb plans such as Atkins they really are different approaches. The South Beach Diet has a much less restrictive diet, once you are past the first stage you are allowed to introduce some carbohydrates back into your diet as long as they are complex and unrefined carbohydrates. Additionally the first phase of the South Beach Diet last two weeks, where as the Atkins plan is an open ended time frame. Additionally this diet doesn’t advocate eating foods with high fat or soluble fats like other plans. While tests on these kinds of fats remain inconclusive many nutritionists advocate keeping these types of fats to a minimum. Foods with a high glycemic index have been shown to increase the blood sugar in the body causing an energy boost followed by an energy crash, triggering a craving for foods with high sugar content.
